building the dictionaries
After installing verbiste and stardict, and downloading the script vsd.pl, run the command
perl vsd.pl
This will create stardict tab-format files
vsd-fr.tab and vsd-en.tab.
Convert these to the stardict native format with
tabfile vsd-fr.tab
tabfile vsd-en.tab
or this step can be performed with the
stardict-editor program included with
stardict.
On Debian or Ubuntu systems the required programs can be found in the packages verbiste, stardict and stardict-tools. Then the stardict tabfile program is
/usr/lib/stardict-tools/tabfile
